Aamer Mohammed

Aamer Mohammed is a Bahraini videographer working for Reuters. On 5 January 2015, while covering protests sparked by the arrest of opposition leader Ali Salman, Mohammed was targeted with tear gas by security forces. The attack formed part of a broader pattern of intimidation against journalists in Bahrain. In addition, authorities have denied renewal of his journalism license, which is mandated under Article 88 of Law 47/2002 for journalists working with foreign media and must be renewed annually through the Ministry of Information Affairs.
