Fadel Farhan Saket (Abu Turki) is a human rights activist who defends the rights of the Bedoon community in Kuwait. On 10 August 2023, he went to the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation building after receiving a summons from its Cyber Crime Combatting Department. He was immediately arrested. Local reports confirmed that his arrest was related to his posts on X (formerly Twitter), where he called for rights for the Bedoon community, including the right to Kuwaiti citizenship. On 31 August 2023, he was released on bail. He was previously detained for a month for similar reasons, between 31 August 2022 and 15 September 2022.
