Mohammed Khalifa Al-Fazari

Dr. Mohammed Al-Fazari is an Omani writer, journalist, and human rights defender currently residing in the United Kingdom. He is also the founder, executive director, and editor-in-chief of the Muwatin Media Network, which is a media institution based in London, UK that was established on 6 June 2013. It monitors community events and is concerned with citizen issues in the Gulf and the Arab world. He is known for his reformist human rights activity opposing government policies in Oman. Due to his peaceful human rights activities, he has faced pressure, imprisonment, and travel bans, leading to his eventual move to the UK. He has also faced repression in Jordan due to his work, including rejection from entry to the country and the banning of his book, “Uncertainty.”
