Mohammad Al-Jamoudi
Mohammed Al-Jamoudi is an Omani human rights defender who has been actively involved in promoting civil and political rights in Oman. He was among a group of human rights defenders targeted by Omani authorities due to their participation in peaceful demonstrations and their exercise of freedom of expression. On 17 March 2013, the Court of Appeal in Muscat released several human rights defenders on personal bail; however, Al-Jamoudi remained in prison because he had been convicted on charges of insulting the Sultan and sentenced to imprisonment.
