Hassan Al-Ruqayshi is an Omani human rights defender who has been actively involved in online activism and advocacy. On 30 December 2013, he was summoned by the Special Branch Police at the General Police Headquarters in Muscat and interrogated about his activities on social networking sites. During this interrogation, he was explicitly warned to cease his human rights work.
