Iyas Ayash is a Syrian human rights defender and member of the National Coordination Body for Democratic Change who, along with colleagues Abd al-Aziz al-Khayyir and Maher Tahan, was abducted by regime forces at an Air Force Intelligence checkpoint on 20 September 2012 and has since been subjected to enforced disappearance, with his fate, health and whereabouts remaining unknown.
