His mobile phone was confiscated and he was questioned before being released a few hours later. This incident occurred amidst an escalating campaign of intimidation targeting journalists and media professionals in Yemen under Houthi control. There is no record of any subsequent detention, trial or judicial action, suggesting that he was a victim to retaliatory harassment.
