Saad Al-Mahri, a Yemeni journalist and correspondent for Al-Mahriah TV, was prevented from covering a cultural event on 2 October 2022 (the Mahri Language Day festival in Qishn District, Al-Mahrah Governorate) when members of the guards of the historic Sultan’s Palace, affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council, barred him from carrying out his journalistic duties.
