Ahmed Al-Silawi is an Iraqi journalist and an editorial board member of Najaf Guide newspaper. On 12 September 2023, the newspaper posted on its Facebook page that Al-Silawi had received death threats from the head of a political party in Najaf as a result of his criticism of their party and policies. Najaf Guide’s post denounced the threats and called for them to be properly investigated by security authorities.
