Rojhat Luqman is a journalist with the AVA satellite channel in Iraq, he was attacked by security forces on 24 April 2025 in the Alqosh subdistrict, Nineveh Governorate, while covering live reports in front of a crowded national ID card issuance centre. The coverage highlighted citizens complaints about congestion and delays in processing documents. Security forces denied access to the media crew, detained them during their live broadcast, and confiscated their equipment, including cameras and mobile phones. After two hours, the crew was released and their equipment returned.
