Kadhim Al-Muqdadi is an Iraqi academic and media specialist. On 03 April 2024, he was arrested by a Federal Police force without a judicial order outside of his home in the eastern Karrada area in central Baghdad. He was assaulted by the force while he was erecting an iron bar at the entrance to his house, which is adjacent to the house of an influential politician who wished to seize this common entrance. This neighbour illegally utilised the help of security forces to threaten, assault, and intimidate Al-Muqdadi. Al-Muqdadi was released shortly after his arrest.
