Abdulsalam Qatran
Abdulsalam Qatran is a Yemeni citizen and son of Judge Abdulwahab Qatran. He was forcibly disappeared on 21 September 2025 together with his father Arif Qatran after Houthi forces raided their home in Sana’a without presenting judicial warrants or clarifying the charges. On 24 September 2025, Judge Qatran appealed to local and international human rights organisations, confirming that both his son and brother were initially held at the Hamdan Security Complex prison and that contact was rapidly cut off. Local sources reported that the reason for the arrests was their celebration of the 26 September anniversary, the date commemorating the declaration of the Yemeni Republic, which the Houthis oppose.
