Ahmed Al-Haj is an Iraqi broadcaster. He presents the “With the People” program on Al-Fallujah satellite channel, which focuses on shedding light on corruption and the difficulties of citizens’ daily lives. On 13 November 2023, he was subjected to an assassination attempt. He later attempted to obtain a weapon for the purposes of personal protection. However, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Mu’aid Al-Lami, refused to give him a letter of support, which prevented him from obtaining a licence.
