Ammar Kazar Al-Maliki is an Iraqi civil society activist and coordinator of the National Project for Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence in Iraq. On 16 August 2023, he was arbitrarily arrested by security forces inside his house in Al-Zubayr district and taken to an unknown location. A protest demanding his release was organised the next day.
