Ayoub Aziz, an Iraqi photojournalist working for Speda Satellite TV, was arrested on 26 June 2025 in Sulaymaniyah during a large-scale arrest campaign by security forces targeting civil society activists, political activists, journalists and media crews covering a planned demonstration. He was detained alongside reporter Ibrahim Salih, photojournalist Mohammed Saadullah, and their driver Hassan Mohammed.
