Dima Sadek is a Lebanese journalist. On 10 July 2023, according to the Maharat Foundation, she was sentenced in absentia to one year in prison and fined 110 million LBP (approx. $1,200 USD) after she criticised members of a political party on X. She was charged with criminal defamation, libel and insult, as well as “spreading false news” and “inciting sectarian and racist tensions.” She did not attend the court and was not imprisoned.

On 21 October 2024, Dima Sadek posted on X (formerly Twitter) that she and her children had been receiving daily death threats via social media and her private phone number. Sadek linked these threats directly to her political opinions, which she regularly shares on the platform.
