Fahd Yahya Al-Arhabi
Fahd Yahya Al-Arhabi is a Yemeni journalist and media official for a state-owned factory in the Amran Governorate. He has been active in reporting on local issues, including corruption and human rights violations. On 5 June 2023, Fahd Yahya Al-Arhabi was arrested by Houthi security services in Amran after receiving repeated calls and summons from the Security and Intelligence Service. His arrest was reportedly linked to his exposure of land appropriation by a senior politician from a state-owned cement factory. After 180 days of detention, Fahd Yahya Al-Arhabi was released on 30 January 2024. However, he was re-arrested by Houthi forces in Amran on 23 August 2024, just over six months after his release. As of early 2025, Fahd Yahya Al-Arhabi’s health was reported to be deteriorating in detention.
