Hamoud Jneed

Hamoud Jneed, a Syrian journalist and media activist from Kafranbel, is a human rights defender who was assassinated on 23 November 2018 in Kafranbel, in a rebel-held area near Idlib, when unidentified gunmen ambushed and shot him and his colleague Raed Fares as they left the office of Radio Fresh in a van. The assassination occurred just after morning prayers,  masked gunmen opened fire from a van, shot both men, then fled without claiming responsibility.
