Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Abu Khalil Al-Huwaiti
Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Abu Khalil Al-Huwaiti is a Saudi citizen from the Al-Huwaitat tribe, known for his opposition to the displacement of his community due to the Neom project. He was arrested in early November 2020 during a crackdown on tribe members protesting forced evictions. On 5 August 2022, he was sentenced to death by the Saudi Specialised Criminal Court, a decision upheld on 23 January 2023 by the Court of Appeal. Ibrahim was charged with establishing a terrorist cell and using a Twitter account to harm national unity.
