Khaled Farhan
Khaled Farhan, a Yemeni media professional working as a cameraman for YMC TV, was violently attacked while carrying out his journalistic duties. On 10 February 2014, during an attempt to cover a demonstration in Sanaa, unidentified individuals physically assaulted him and prevented him from doing his work. His colleague, reporter Fahmi Al-Buhaïri, was attacked at the same time. The incident occurred just one day after another pair (Haikal Al-Ariki and his cameraman Basheer Al-Jahlani) were threatened, insulted and beaten in Taiz while conducting interviews, demonstrating a coordinated pattern of intimidation across different regions. These actions reflect a broader trend of professionally targeted violence and harassment against journalists and media staff in Yemen.
