Khalifa Al-Qasmi is a Tunisian journalist from Kairouan working as a correspondent for Mosaïque FM who was arrested on 03 September 2023 in relation to a report he published about the dismantling of a terrorist cell sourced from an official security service. He refused to disclose his source and was initially sentenced on 15 May 2023 to six years imprisonment (after the appeal court increased a one-year sentence) under terrorism-related and cyber-crime legislation. On 06 March 2024 the Court of Cassation quashed the conviction and referred the case back to the appeal court, and on 09 June 2025 the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal in Tunis dismissed the proceedings against him.
