Mehran Ramadan is an Iraqi journalist and correspondent for Moral Satellite TV. She was arrested on 26 June 2025 in Sulaymaniyah while attempting to cover a planned demonstration. She was detained alongside her colleague, cameraman Nizar Satar, by security forces who launched a large-scale arrest campaign targeting not only protesters and political activists, but also media professionals documenting the events. Both journalists were taken to an unknown location, raising concerns about the safety of reporters working in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
