Omar Kulbi is an Iraqi political activist, leader in the Islamic Group Party and member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament. He was arrested on 26 June 2025 in Sulaymaniyah during a mass arrest operation carried out by security forces shortly before a planned demonstration. He was detained alongside fellow political leaders Ali Hama Salih, Dr. Ghaleb Mohammed and Rebwar Karam. All four were held at the Internal Security Directorate in Sulaymaniyah and released the same day.
