Rayhana Al-Mosawi
Rayhana Al-Mosawi is a Bahraini human rights defender. On 20 April 2013, Al-Mosawi was arrested while protesting the ongoing detention of detained human rights defenders during the Formula 1 race in Manama. Al-Mosawi was arrested alongside fellow activist Nafeesa Al-Asfoor. Following their detention, both women were reportedly subjected to torture, including the use of electric shocks, in an effort to extract forced confessions. They were also denied family visits during the early stages of their detention.
