Saadia Mosbah
Saadia Mosbah is a leading Tunisian woman human rights defender who is the co-founder of Mnemty (“My Dream” in Arabic) Association for Combating Racial Discrimination in Tunisia, which advocates for racial equality and on behalf of victims of racial discrimination in Tunisia. Her work through education, awareness raising and legislative advocacy, has led to the adoption of the Anti-Racism Law No. 50 (in 2018), and the declaration of 23 January as the National Day for the Abolition of Slavery for Tunisia (since 2019). Her work has also focused on combatting prejudice against migrants and promoting migrant and refugee rights. Saadia Mosbah and Mnemty have faced intense smear campaigns.
