Saleh Al-Obaidi

Saleh Al-Obaidi is a photojournalist working in Yemen. He works as a photographer for Agence France-Presse (AFP) in addition to local media organisations. On 13 June 2024, in the city of Aden, Al-Obaidi was arbitrarily arrested by security forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council, which is supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He was released the next day, after a widespread campaign in solidarity with him sparked on social media.
