Shamel Zamil is a human rights defender from Iraq. He is among four founders of the Volunteer Climate Prospect Team, a civil society organisation that sparked from the successful Climate Prospects Campaign, which fought for a national strategy on climate change and the protection of climate activists’ right to freedom of expression.
