Tawfiq Al-Tamimi is an Iraqi journalist who reports on the governorates for the official “Al-Sabah” newspaper, which is issued by the Iraqi Media Commission. On 9 March 2020, he was kidnapped by masked gunmen who intercepted his car after he left his home in Baghdad’s Ur neighbourhood and took him by force to an unknown destination.
