Bassem Al-Zaak

Bassem Al-Zaak is an Iraqi civil society activist and journalist. He was kidnapped on 24 October 2021 while covering the sit-ins of demonstrators against the results of the Iraqi parliament elections. His live broadcast was abruptly cut off as he was taken to an unknown location. As of August 2023, his fate is unknown.
