Farah Omar was a Lebanese journalist. She worked for the Al-Mayadeen satellite channel, and was reporting on clashes in southern Lebanon when she was killed on 21 November 2023 in an Israeli air strike on the city of Tayr Harfa. The attack came after Israel’s decision to shut down Al-Mayadeen TV in Israel on 12 November 2023, leading the TV channel to conclude that its journalists were deliberately targeted.
