Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia: GCHR website blocked
The Gulf Centre for Human Rights (GCHR) deplores the blocking of its website (gc4hr.org) by the Saudi authorities and considers it as a form of repression that is part of a intimidation patterns that are being used persistently in the Kingdom these days.
The blocking of the GCHR website has been executed at a time when human rights defenders are exposed to various kinds of harassment and arrests, arbitrary imprisonment and unfair trials that lack legal procedures and minimum international standards used in a fair trial.
While the GCHR calls on the Saudi government to rescind this unfair decision, it reminds the citizens in Saudi Arabia about the use of modern technologies in order to access the website.
The GCHR is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization that works to provide support and protection to human rights defenders (including independent journalists, bloggers, lawyers, etc.) in the Gulf region by promoting freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly.
