Safaa Al-Saray was a 26-year-old Iraqi human rights activist, poet, and artist who was killed by a tear gas canister in Al-Tahrir Square during the popular protests in October 2019. He was a graduate from the Department of Computer Science at Baghdad University of Technology, and had participated in protests in Baghdad since 2011.
